    Description
I don't know the actual model name or number for this banjo but I am saying it is deluxe because it has a lot of professional level qualities.
This has a mahogany resonator with chrome hardware.  The neck is also mahogany and the fretboard is rosewood.  The fretboard has a gorgeous and unique flower inlay pattern that is very nice.  There is also white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The armrest is a one piece armrest and this has a vintage original tailpiece.  The banjo is all original except for a set of D tuners which have been added.  The flange is a two piece tube and plate flange.  This also has a full size tone ring which is a big deal.  This gives the banjo a tremendous amount of tone and volume which puts this at a pro grade banjo.
The banjos coming out of Japan in the 1970's were made to compete with American Made Gibson Banjos and they succeeded.  I would absolutely recommend this over a Gibson RB250 of the same era.  This has a lot of power, tone, volume and overall sound and will turn heads.  Plus it looks great.  This also has an original hardshell case.
    Condition
This is absolutely gorgeous.  The resonator looks great and the hardware is all glowing.  We take apart every banjo that comes through here and do a professional cleaning and this now almost looks new.  The neck and fretboard are also clean and the frets are showing little wear.  It's amazing that this banjo is over 40 years old considering how good the frets look. They have a hint of wear on the first few but that's it.  There was once a 5th string capo on this so there are now two pin sized holes on the side of the neck which a lot of people would never notice.  There are no spikes but if you want those we will install them at no charge.  This is a beautiful banjo and the original case is also clean.
    Set Up
This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Grover Bridge that is intonated correctly.  This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings which are set comfortably.  The action is set for fast playing while still producing wonderful tone and volume.  This is a gorgeous top of the line banjo that has been professionally set up to satisfy even the toughest of player.
