Vintage Fender Leo 5 string Banjo
This is a 1970’s Fender Leo Banjo that was made in Japan, all original and in Fantastic Condition.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
1970’s Japan was a time that instrument manufacturers were striving to outdo the American Competition.  Some of the designs that came out of Japan at this time are beyond exceptional and this is a fantastic example of that.
This has a thick multiply maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood with a type of Leaves and Bows inlay.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator and more inlay work on the headstock.  The banjo is all original with chrome hardware.  This includes a 2 piece flange and a 20 hole full size tone ring.  This banjo is BANGING and really delivers a killer bluegrass tone.  This is all original and also includes the original case.
Condition
This is in exceptional shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  The banjo has been disassembled and all of the metal buffed to a shine with a high powered buffer.  The wood has been waxed and also shines.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and the board and frets are both in exceptional shape.  There are no spikes and no 5th string capo which is an incredible sign.  This banjo could not have been played too seriously because someone would need spikes or a 5th string capo to do that.  This is in smoking good shape and the original case is clean as well.
Set Up
This has also been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a vintage Grover Bridge and is correctly intonated.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the banjo plays great.  This is a Stellar banjo for the money that is cleaned and set up for maximum performance.
