    Description

    the pig family
do note! there is a small chip to the underside of the mama pig's tail. this is very subtle, to me, as it is toward the back on the side of the figurine. there is also a tiny chip on the top of the base close to the same area on the back of the figurine. see second image.
really adorable mother pig with an abundant group of piglets (i count 8) nursing. i believe this is clay, but it may also be resin or composite. very well depicted scene. the piglets competing to nurse have a lot of movement. the sort of chaos of the scene is very well depicted. the figurine is signedd. if you know the maker, please do share!
    marks (see last image)
incised on the underside: «1975» (year?)
    back of base (impressed marks)
    «j.p.» (artist's signature?)
«326» (perhaps for the figurine model №)
    dimensions
from snout to end of tail, the mama is 4 1/2".
the base is an approximate rectangle
on the short axis, it is 2 1/2"
on its long axis, it is 4"
    the base is 1/2" tall.
at its tallest, (to the top of the piglet resting on top of mama), it is 2".

    the fine print
the images are the majority of the listing description, so take a look at them closely.
shipping costs have really increased—this is calculated into the buy-it-now price.
i am not able to sell individual items from items i have listed as a group. i just don't have the stamina to create new listings for those. i apologize for that. i haven't initially individually listed items because i don't have enough listing slots to so.
trying to downsize some, though extremely melancholically.
shipping time: i otherwise work more than full time and my health isn't great, so kindly excuse the longer handling time. if i am able to ship sooner, i absolutely will do that
. i appreciate you taking the time to view my listing.
